"My wife and I were moving to Ottawa and selected Mike and Alanna of Modern Tile to do the work on the house we had just purchased. It was a very large and complex job with mud room, two bathrooms, front entrance, and a kitchen, that all needed to be completed together in a very tight timeframe (less than 2 weeks).
Mike explained the process, the challenges, helped with selecting vendors and materials, discussed what he'd need from us and guided us step by step along the way. To add a level of challenge, we were not around. in person to view the progress of the project. We lived in Toronto and were moving to Ottawa so we had to rely on Mike. He recognized this tricky situation and was highly accommodating, always making sure to call, send pictures, or do video calls with us before any big decisions were made around the layout and always securing approvals before he went ahead. He was clear, direct, fair, and partnered with us to make the right decisions and built up trust through proactive communication and checking in daily.
The job was completed on time, on budget and exceeded our expectations! The work is commented on by all who see it, we've referred him to neighbours, friends and family, and would use him again in the future.
